Born in the Czech Republic, I decided to train as a psychoanalyst in Paris, after completing a PhD in History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I also hold a doctorate in Psychoanalysis and Psychopathology from the University of Paris Diderot Sorbonne Cité.

During my training, I have worked in mental health institutions in both France and the UK, including the Specialist Psychotherapy Services at the East London NHS Foundation Trust and CMPP Médicis, a children’s therapy centre in Fontainebleau, France. I am currently part of the Psychosis Therapy Project at the Islington MIND.

I am a member of the Cercle Freudien psychoanalytical association in Paris and an associated researcher of the Research Centre for Psychoanalysis, Medicine and Society at Paris VII. As a researcher, I am particularly interested in the subjects of psychosis, questions of language acquisition, exile and the ‘mother tongue’. I abide by the UK Council for Psychotherapy Code of Ethics.

A list of my publications is available here.
